Online Speech Therapy uses video-conferencing via zoom or Teams on your device to give you quick, direct, face-to-face access to an experienced Speech & Language Therapist.

We even offer formal assessment sessions, providing you with written reports and recommendations afterwards.

Online Speech Therapy makes it easier for you to fit Assessments and Therapy sessions into your life, and to keep your child’s development progressing even in these difficult times. There is no need to travel, you can stay in the comfort of your own home, and save money.

Children’s Services

Speech and language assessments for children can take place at our London Clinic in Marylebone. Assessments and Therapy sessions can be booked via our online booking system.

ASL provides a flexible approach to Speech and Language assessments by using a mix of formal (standardised and norm-referenced) and informal assessments to gain an accurate picture of your child’s needs. This is then used to plan effective, accessible and fun therapy for your child.

Adult’s Services

Our Speech & Language Therapists offer a range of assessments for adults with Speech, Language & Communication Needs to identify difficulties and causes. They will then provide full written reports with strategies and recommendations included.

We offer our clients 1:1 therapy to treat and support these needs at a time which is convenient to you.

All our Speech and Language Therapists are fully qualified with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registration and members of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

Our therapists are experienced in working with a range of communication impairments including:

  • Motor Speech Disorders
  • Speech Sound Disorders
  • Language & Grammar Difficulties
  • Aphasia
  • Voice Disorders
  • English as a Second Language
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders
  • Dysfluency (Stammering)

Autism Assessment

A complete assessment that will identify if your child has Autism.

We have a team of specialist healthcare professionals who are experienced in working with and assessing Autism. They are trained in and knowledgeable about all areas of development, and in completing diagnostic assessments. This requires a high level of specialist skill that is often not readily available.

The Autism assessment and support services aim to provide assessments that are high quality, reliable and helpful, and interventions that support children and adults with Autism to achieve their potential in terms of their development and mental health.

ASL use the gold standard ADOS-2 to assess for Autism. Assessment is completed by a multi-disciplinary team in line with best practice guidance from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). The practice of each clinician is regulated by an independent body, which means the public can be confident about the standard of care provided.

Can your school afford to commission an Independent Speech & Language Therapist?
When you see “independent/private speech therapy”, it’s very easy to think “it’s too expensive for us”, however I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by our School Fee Structure.

When therapists are allocated days to specific schools through Service Level Agreements with local departments, in practise, therapists average 5-6 hours onsite with time frequently taken off for Clinical supervision, meetings, training, sick leave, annual leave and maternity leave. This can come out of the school’s provision, which has already been paid for without any refund for lost SLT time.

At ASL we aim to provide each school with a consistent service for the children, staff and families, including one specifically allocated therapist, onsite from 8:30-4:30/5, with no hidden costs. Any hours not worked are not charged. Additionally, the daily rate includes all resources required for the therapist to do their job effectively, their clinical supervision and Continued Professional Development activities completed outside of the contracted days.

“Fantastic [training] course! Lots of practical strategies that I’ll take back to the classroom.”
